Leo Days was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Flint, Michigan. In 1983, an impressionable 2 year old was awestruck by a sequin-embellished, moonwalking Michael Jackson on the television special, “Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever.” Leo first learned to moonwalk as a child, and remained a fan of the King of Pop throughout the years. Days began performing at the age of 15 as Elvis Presley, and always wanted to perform as Michael Jackson, but apprehensions about being able to pull off “the look” kept him from pursuing that dream. Leo began working for the show, ‘Legends in Concert,” and met a Michael Jackson tribute artist who took Leo under his wing and mentored him by teaching him makeup techniques and the intricacy of the dance moves. Leo took that knowledge and practiced for years, finally hitting the stage as MJ for the first time at a nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona. From there, he was invited to perform as Michael Jackson at the Michigan Elvis Festival in 2019, and in 2020, made his debut as the King of Pop on the “Legends in Concert” stage. Most recently, he pulled off the unthinkable, performing a one-man-show where he opened as Michael and did a 20 minute costume change into The King of Rock &Roll, Elvis Presley at Queen Casino in Marquette Iowa. Leo wishes to bring the energy and magic that Michael brought to the stage, and he is grateful to be able to share the legacy of Michael Jackson with audiences everywhere.
